Job Details
Attock Petroleum Limited, a leading petroleum trading company, is looking for a senior officer (quality assurance). Education: Bachelor of Chemistry / B-Tech (Chemistry) / DAE (Chemistry). Experience: 3-5 years preferably in OMC. Location: Karachi. No. of positions: One (1)
A laboratory technician who will be responsible for testing storage tank and receipt products using ASTM test methods meeting GOP specifications.
Work description:
- Responsible for ensuring the quality of petroleum products from receipts (through pipelines and tanker trucks) and storage tanks of a terminal using ASTM recommended test methods meeting GOP specifications.
- Testing of external samples.
- Keep all log books and prepare test reports.
- Timely report of quality related issues to IC Lab.
- Provision of third party testing as per requirement.
- Responsible for ensuring the use of calibrated laboratory items and equipment.
- Ensure the smooth operation of laboratory equipment and its maintenance and cleaning.
- Sample retention and waste disposal with updated records.
- Maintain laboratory inventory and glassware break records.
- Ensure the maintenance of the laboratory and HSE, also the use of PPE during the work in the laboratory.
- Visit customer sites for quality complaints and inquiries.
- Assist in internal and external audits for the laboratory.
- Guarantee the updated ISO documentation related to the laboratory.
- Perform any other task assigned by I / C Lab.
Required skill:
Good management and administrative skills and knowledge of petroleum products, reagents, equipment, laboratory inventory management, and laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
